I have always thought of Miki and Chako as my "bouncing
baby boys." They are always full of energy and bouncing up and down eagerly in front of you in sheer joy,
gleefully looking forward to whatever you have in store for them. I attributed this attitude to the large
volume of grasshoppers they ate during their first summer. These brothers have exhibited attitude and
temperament beyond reproach throughout their lives, and they continue as outstanding ambassadors of the breed
to this day.
Miki's show career took off with a flying start, completing his Canadian Championship as a junior puppy with two
Puppy Groups. Miki won the Bred By class at the Louisville AMCA National, and was also Winners Dog at the large
AMCA Area Specialty in Harrisburg. Miki made the transition to obedience easily, proving to be a cheerful, willing
worker. He completed both American and Canadian CD's with ease, prompting many comments on his wonderful spirit.
I have no complaints about Miki as a stud dog either, with many Canadian and American champions to his credit.
Most notable is Teeka,
owned and handled by Gilda Goldberg and winner of the AMCC 2000 National Specialty. Many of his champion
offspring are pictured on the previous page.
Miki continues to bounce through life with that silly grin on his face, the
twinkle in his eyes and his tongue hanging out on one side of his mouth. He is adorable!
